Well, fresh from viewing the Fisher Chimneys report and photos, I had glanced thru the 3 Fingered Jack climb photos. Whoa! Not that there's anything wrong in the 3FJ report or the photography itself, but seeing images of what purports to be a "rock-like" surface (and I use the term charitably) should be enough to incentivize folks to come to the North Cascades. Don't get me wrong - as a young pup back in the 80's, we'd climbed both 3FJ and the Ugly (north) Sister (twice, no less!), but some those surfaces/walls look as if some drunk and crazed nozzleman had recklessly sprayed a gunite/shotcrete slurry over the land, then departed without any attempt to consolidate or compact the material. Arrgh! I can see why Shonee is delighted to do the SE ridge on Shuksan!
