HomePicture Night

Picture Night is an opportunity to enjoy pictures and stories of outdoor adventures and travel most often presented by fellow Chemeketans.  During the presentations, we often learn a bit of history about the area visited and about the people encountered.  Picture Night is usually held the second Friday of each month, September through May (except December).  Read on for information about the next presentation.

The Owyhee River Journals

Friday, October 17, 7:00 p.m.
Broadway Commons, Peru Room (#306)
1300 Broadway Street NE, Salem, OR

In October, the Chemeketans have scheduled a very special Picture Night with Bonnie Olin, author of The Owyhee River Journals. Please join Bonnie for this richly-illustrated journey into the canyonlands of the Owyhee River in Nevada, Idaho and Oregon. The talk, reading, movie and slideshow are based on her book, with photographer Mike H. Quigley, created over many years of travel in the canyons together.

Q & A and book signing follows.  Doors open at 6:30 PM with the program beginning at 7:00.

We're sure you'll enjoy Bonnie's presentation. This is an event free and open to everyone, and we look forward to seeing you there!
