Climb School 2022
Author Last Post

Just a quick update to things related to CS 2022:

  1. The Climbing Committee greatly appreciates all of the enthusiasm that has been expressed here and otherwise, by those willing to devote their time and talent to Climb School. Volunteerism has always been the strength of the event.
  2. At this point, based on conversations between the Chemeketan Council and the Climbing Committee, we are operating under the assumption that we will hold Climb School in some fashion; incorporating any changes necessary to ensure adequate safety in the face of the continuing pandemic.
  3. The Climbing Committee has met to discuss some potential updates/changes to aspects of the school. More to be communicated out to everyone on that VERY soon.
  4. The Climbing Committee appreciates everyone's patience as we move forward together to plan and execute Climb School 2022.

I would like to volunteer for climb school as well.  I really hope we are able to get this up and running.

I'm looking forward to the meeting and looking forward to volunteering for climb school in whatever way I can be useful.

Hello Chemeketan Climbers. Just as an FYI, there have been some very preliminary discussions occurring in the Climb Leadership forum about next year's climb school. We are looking to schedule a Zoom meeting in the next couple weeks; likely sometime between 10/26-10/29. I'll post more details and an agenda when it's available, but generally the topics are:

  • Are we holding Climb School?
  • What COVID-related accommodations/changes need to be instituted?
  • Determine initial pool of volunteers to assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of the various CS activities
  • Come away with a list of next steps and assignments

The success of climb school, and the viability of the climbing section as well, depends on SO MANY people, so I hope you are able to contribute in some way. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for the upcoming meeting and/or climb school itself, please feel free to express them here in this public forum or in a direct message to either myself or Ellen.

Thank you so much,
