Thanks for sending this out, Mike!
John is great and the instruction he offers is top notch for very minimal cost!
I highly recommend these classes!

Some of you may be familiar with John Godino who runs the Alpine Savvy website. Should check out his site for lots of tips if you haven't. I was just reading that he offers classes every 2nd and 4th Sun morning each month at the Mazama Center in Portland. $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Pretty reasonable prices for what he is offering. There is a Mechanical Advantage class on 6/9 that still has some spots and a Crevasse Rescue class on the 23rd. The Crevasse registration opens tomorrow and sounds like that one sells out quickly.
Anway, just passing along if anyone wants to learn more or get a refresher from a VERY knowledgeable climber and excellent teacher. I may go up there if I can get a spot.
