I thought it prudent to avoid getting permits for MSH on Mother’s Day itself because an event having 500 people in the parking lot and on the mountain could be cancelled to accommodate social distancing advisories.
If you are interested in honoring or avoiding your Mother post Mother's Day, this is the place to be. This is not a wilderness experience. It will require tolerance for the odd, patience with long lines, and entails wearing a dress.
Climbers will reimburse the leader the permit fee (est $15).
