West Metolius River Trail

Come help me celebrate my birthday! This is a popular trail along the river in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness area. You will need a Northwest Forest Pass or equivalent ($5/day or $30/year) for parking.

This may be an exploratory hike! 

IMPORTANT: To sign up, please contact Sandra (text preferred) by July 23rd because I need to get day use passes for each adult on July 24th.

We will find somewhere on the trail to stop for lunch, so please bring lunch or a snack. I may even have a birthday surprise for everyone who signs up for this hike. 

This hike is open to 10 fully vaccinated hikers. 

Difficulty: Easy

Pace: Moderate

Hiking Distance: Approx. 7 miles RT.

Elevation Gain: 272 feet.

Qualifying Activity: Yes

Driving Distance: Approx. 220 miles RT.
