Chehalem Ridge Nature Park

Chehalem Ridge is a wonderful "new" park outside of Gaston. It is part of the Metro Park system. The trails are well maintained, big parking lot and lots of restrooms. Beautiful views of the Tualatin Valley and Coast Range. Lots of side trails to shorten or lengthen hikes.  

Difficulty:   Medium 

Pace:  Moderate

Hiking Distance: 8 miles RT.

Elevation Gain: 1,000 feet.

Driving Distance: 68 miles RT.

EASY: Maximum of 5 miles round trip, elevation gain less than 1000 feet
MÉDIUM: 6-10 miles round trip, elevation gain 1000-2000 feet
HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
