Maxwell South Shelter Snowshoe

If snow conditions allow, we'll snowshoe to the South (lower) shelter in the Maxwell snow park using a route cleared of logs by Chemeketan volunteers last year. If there is not enough snow, we may go up farther to the Potato Hill snow park, or the trip will be canceled if there is no snow yet. Pre-register by phone or e-mail at spunky2u@comcast.net.

Difficulty: Easy

Driving distance 160 miles RT.

Hiking distance 5 miles RT.

Elevation gain 500 feet.
