Lava Lake - Fish Lake Hike
This hike visits two lakes that disappear each year into the porous volcanic soil. We'll start at Lava Lake snow park (near Santiam Junction) and hike north to Lava Lake first. Then we'll retrace our steps back to the parking lot and head south to Fish Lake. Lunch on the porch of the historic guard station at Fish Lake. Since both these lakes are meadows at this time of year, we can explore each lake bed. Be prepared for rain.
