On a sunny warm Saturday a lively group of ten explored West Salem. Our wanderings included many routes and side trails previously unexplored even by long time residents. As usual, the hike also included lively and informative conversation on a variety of topics. Although, temperatures were rising we kept the pace up and hugged the shade when available to stay cool. We even got a little history lesson from a neighbor along the trail. It was a great group of folks many relatively new members and/or new to Salem so a nice mix.
