The road to Camp Pioneer is paved so it is an easy drive. The Pine Ridge trail was a bit challenging with numerous downed trees especially in the middle section. Very few flowers but beautiful views over Marion Lake and the mountains from Hood to the Three Sisters. Energetic hikers included Mary Coleman, Nancy Earl, Marcia Kenagy, Blanka Truneckova, Susan Wilson, Elaine Young and leader Mady Kimmich.
