Chemeketans Pat Fuhrman, Jean Hutchinson, and Susan Proffitt joined leader Becky Hickox on a perfect weather day for a walk around this refuge near Sherwood. The flowers were putting on a real show as was a family of nutrias including two babies. The songbirds were vocal and a bald eagle was soaring--a really nice day. (And kudos to Susan who fought a major emergency shutdown on I-5 both to get there and get home!)
