Five other cars were parked at the Crescent Mountain trailhead, unusual for this hiker! But people were spread out enough along the route that we never felt bothered by others. Lots of flowers in the forest sections, especially several clusters of candystick and Vanilla Leaf galore. Meadows were almost at their peak, sporting lots of larkspur, paintbrush and phlox and a sprinkling of other types soon to come. Only a couple of large, downed trees to clamber over. Group included Tom Burke, Marie Flores, Sumon Montri, Ashley Sorg, Blanka Truneckova, Kathy Underwood, Susan Wilson, Elaine Young, and leader Mady Kimmich.
