REI Community Day - July 28, 2024

The REI in Keizer held a community day and invited local groups to show the community what we are about. Chemeketans were the only group to show up this time, so we had a table right next to the entrance door. We had an interactive exhibit (made by Eileen Harder) for the customers to test their knowledge of the local mountains and had bookmarks and stickers with our name and website to give away. We had many people who were excited to learn about Chemeketans and had one that had just joined about 3 weeks ago and is excited to go hiking with our members. Many thanks to the volunteers Becky Hickox and Elizabeth Seibert who each took a two hour shift during the day to help me out.
