Nadene LeCheminant, Mary Liepins, and leader Becky Hickox decided that the exposure and 1300 feet of climbing Stahlman Point did not appeal on a day forecast to be very hot. We instead made an early start on the shaded Perimeter trail in Silver Falls State Park. As always, we had the trail to ourselves most of the time. We were down by noon ready to enjoy lunch at the Big Leaf Cafe.
