About this event
We will hike the Marion Lake trail not only to two-tier Marion Falls but also Lake Ann, Marion Lake, by Marion Creek and past some impressive old growth. Sullivan describes the Marion Lake trail as easy, although the scramble to Marion Falls is difficult. Lunch at Marion Lake. After hiking this trail, back at the highway we will drive 3 miles from Marion Forks to the Downing Creek Falls trailhead, a roundtrip 0.8-mile hike to a second beautiful and little-visited waterfall. Moderate pace.
