Mt. Thielsen is known as the lightning rod of the cascades, recognized by the dramatically sharp rock pinnacle summit shooting into the sky. The climb consists of some class 3 and 4 hiking up the west ridge ending with a 50 foot section of class 5 climbing to the summit. On a clear day, expect views of the Sisters, Mt. Washington, and Three fingered Jack at least. Summit Post Link
