Great work, Chuck, and glad you could fulfill one of your
bucket-list items! Delighted to hear most everything went
well for you (covid sucks). And very enjoyable to see the pics,
read the narrative, and be amazed at how much has changed. I was
less interested in the mountains, however, and far more in how the
area has responded to tourism over years. We did Kathmandu in our
hippy-dippy days back in the mid-70’s and it was great to see some
current photos, especially of Darbar square and Monkey temple –
the little bastards stole our lunches there one day! – our course,
we were fair game!

Alas, I still recall the Khumbu cough you mentioned. Everyone
in Kathmandu seemed to suffer from it, but then it was just
called the Kathmandu URI (upper respiratory infection). The more
things change, the more they stay the same.
