Dan's Trail in the McDonald-Dunn Forest April 8, 2026
Steve Engler |
Published on 4/10/2026
For such a nice day there were not many other people on the trail but, we were constantly distracted by many wild flowers. That was a good thing. The last few hundred feet of trail at the top of Dimple Hill suffered from a lot of storm damage last fall. The trail had a large tree down but we were able to follow a path around large root balls to make our way to the overlook.
Enjoying the day were Sumon Montri, Mary Liepins, Nancy Chambers, fill-in hike leader Steve Engler and taking the picture was Marcia Kenagy.
