Six hikers enjoyed a wonderful hike on the Buck Mountain Loop Trail at Silver Falls State Park. We avoided the heat and crowds of people on the waterfall trails and hiked in refreshing shade all day. The trail is lush with trees and ferns, making it a gorgeous hike. We shared the trail occasionally with a few horses, which was a treat. Member hikers included Nadene LeCheminant, Roz Shirack, Carl Halter, Shelley Dillon, JP Sato and leader Debra Dawes.
