Hey everyone,
Mason and I are adding a climb of Mt Thielsen for next Thursday (7/13). This is a great first year climb with a protected rock scramble and rappel at the summit block. For those more experienced, it would be great for you to join us as well!
Basic plan is to leave Salem Thur morning at 5:30am and climb Thielsen that day. Then for anyone interested, we will camp at Diamond Lake Campground that night and then do Mt Yoran near Oakridge as a private climb on Friday before getting back home. Yoran is ~8 miles and 1600' gain wiht a 3rd class scramble at the end. Please note that Yoran on Friday is not a club climb and isn't a FOR SURE things as I will be assessing how my foot feels and won't go if not up for it. As some of you know, I recently had foot surgery and I'm getting back into activity.
Lastly, this will not be a fast paced climb. So as long as you can hold a reasonable pace, please come join us.
