Leader Becky Hickox made the tough decision to delay this hike for a day in hopes of drier weather even though it meant several of the folks who had signed up could not go on the new day. Ann Adamcik and Mary Coleman could still make it, and this small group enjoyed near-perfect hiking weather and surprisingly un-muddy conditions. The ferns and other foliage along the trail made sure out legs got a bit damp, but we really had no complaints. We felt especially lucky when some serious rain started almost the moment we were back in the car. The ride home included a stop at EZ Orchards for warm right-out-of-the-over apple cider donuts.
Mary Coleman, Becky Hickox, and Ann Adamcik enjoyed the glimpses of sun on a
mostly cloudy (but also mostly dry) hike on the Perimeter trail.
