Mt Rainier, Disappointment Cleaver
About this event
The Disappointment Cleaver route up Mt Rainier is the "easiest" way up the mountain. But don't let that fool you. At more than 14,000ft, the route is a difficult one to the summit with about a 50% success rate.
This climb is not open to first year climbers unless you can provide verifiable mountaineering experience.
If you are new to the Chemeketans or I am not familiar with your mountaineering experience, to qualify for this climb you must participate in one of my Mt Hood climbs AND either my Mt Adams (leader) or Mt Shasta (Supervising leader) climbs.
