About this event
Description
This is an introductory course in the vertical world of rock climbing.
This trip is designated for the Chemeketan Climb School graduate and has been billed as “the next step” after climb school.
The main objective of this outing is to learn one of the most important aspects of any climbing, BELAYING.
The participant will be learning/reviewing the mechanics and the ABC’s (Anchor, Belayer, Climber) of belaying climbers on top roped climbs. These climbs will be varying in difficulty from 5.4 -5.9+.
We will also be going over the various types and tools needed for the two main styles of rock climbing (trad and sport) in brief discussion and demos.
