Unicorn Peak - Snow Lakes M1

About this event

Unicorn Peak is the tallest peak in the Tatoosh Range offering a moderate 6 mile round-trip day climb that provides commanding views of Mount Rainier. In early season, it is a good mix of hiking, snow travel, and low 5th class technical rock climbing. The views of Mount Rainier from the summit are breathtaking. This is a classic climb that is wonderful introduction for 1st year climbers as it requires snow and rock skills.

This is a one day climb that will go on either Thur May 11th or Friday May 12th.  We will pick the day that has the best weather.  This climb is very popular an ideal to avoid weekends.  Participants need to be available for both days to apply.  Camping is available nearby or can be driven day off.

Please review the linked prospectus before applying.
Unicorn Prospectus

Please email Mason Smith and Mike Pennington to apply.  If there is a lot of interest we will reserve spots for 1st year climbers or those who have not done the peak before.
