Cape Lookout

Plan will be to hike to the Cape Trail with a possible side trip to the suspension bridge. Trail is steep in spots and will likely be muddy and sometimes slick with exposed tree roots. Please come prepared for these conditions.

Hiking Distance: 5 - 6 miles
Elevation Gain: 1023 feet.
Driving Distance: 142 miles RT.

EASY: Maximum of 5 miles round trip, elevation gain less than 1000 feet
MÉDIUM: 6-10 miles round trip, elevation gain 1000-2000 feet
HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
