Beazell Forest and Fort Hoskins
About this event
We will hike through an evergreen forest with bridges over creeks in Beazell Forest County Park near Philomath. It is a very nice spot for birding and solitude. Then we will drive a short distance to nearby Fort Hoskins History Park for a short hike and a history lesson, ending there with a picnic lunch under the gazebo. Restrooms available at both sites. Register with trip leader who will confirm meeting place and time 2 days prior to the hike.

Hiking Distance: 6 miles RT.
Elevation Gain: 900 feet.
Driving Distance: 80 miles RT.

HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous
To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
