About this event


Starting from the McDonald State Forest Arboretum parking lot we will go on the Intensive Management Trail connecting to the Calloway Creek Trail, Bonzai Trail, Powder House Trail, Section 36 Trail, returning to the parking area via the Forest Discovery Trail.
Please text the leader to sign up.  Bring lunch and water, cold/wet weather clothes and boots.  Poles recommended. Please come prepared for muddy trail conditions.
Group size limited to 8.  Final details (time, weather, meeting place) will be texted to those signed up a couple days before the hike.  

Difficulty: Medium

Pace: Moderate

Hiking Distance: +/- 8  miles RT

Elevation Gain: +/- 1000 feet

Driving Distance: 68 miles RT

EASY: Maximum of 5 miles round trip, elevation gain less than 1000 feet
MEDIUM: 6-10 miles round trip, elevation gain 1000-2000 feet
HARD: Long, difficult, and strenuous

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
