About this event

McDonald Dunn Forest loop. The hike will originate from the Lewisburg Saddle trail head on Sulphur Springs Road north of Corvallis. The route will include the VineyardTrail, Dave's Trail, 580 road, and the Old/New Growth Trail. The trail will be muddy so waterproof shoes and poles are highly recommended. Route may be changed based on conditions. There is a pit toilet at the trail head. We can take a snack break at the top of the Vineyard trail at the site of Professor Peavy's cabin. Limit of 12 hikers. Sign-up by email to the leader by Jan 19th. The leader will meet the group at the trail head but will assist in coordinating carpooling from Salem.

Pace: Slow to moderate

Hiking Distance: 8 miles RT

Elevation Gain: 1000 feet

Driving Distance: 70 miles RT

To reimburse drivers for vehicle operation costs, the suggested donation by passengers is $0.10 per mile per person to the driver.
