A Newer (shorter) Silver Falls Loop Trail

About this event

We will park at the new North Falls Viewpoint parking lot and hike through the original North Falls lot to connect to the Rim Trail.  We might make a detour to Upper North Falls before we head to the Rim Trail.  At Winter Falls, we drop into the canyon to join the Canyon Trail.  Next, we will hike to Twin Falls, then take the trail up to the North Falls Viewpoint parking lot.  We will be able to see many of the falls, while not hiking as long as the traditional trail.  Please note-hiking into and out of the canyon can be quite steep on this loop.  Poles are recommended.  Please contact the leader by noon the day prior for meeting time and place.
