Intermediate lead climbing at Owl Slab

This will be a full day of practicing sport lead climbing for beginners with a little bit of lead climbing experience. Owl slab is a small crag on Marys Peak outside of Corvallis and is a great place to practice easy lead climbing. All of the anchors are bolted and the grades are on the easier side.
We will practice technique and good clipping practices. There will be helpers there to assist with questions and guidance.
Parking is very limited at the crag so carpooling is highly encouraged. There is a parking lot close to the crag for us to meet at and then carpool up to the crag, about a minute away.
There are no bathrooms or water at the crag so plan ahead. Pack a lunch and snacks and plenty of water.
You will need your standard climbing gear and a helmet. The club will provide ropes and anchors and we will have some quickdraws there for you to use if you don't have any.
Prerequisites are:
1.completion of climb school
2. successful completion of intro to lead climbing and anchor building (sport climb). class by the Chemekatans.
You must be a member of the Chemeketans club to attend this event.
