Field Sessions - Intro to Anchor Building and Lead Climbing
About this event
In this class we will be at Smith Rock State Park. Saturday morning we will head out bright and early to start setting anchors at the top of student wall.
We will be in small supervised groups where we will be building the anchors we learned in the classroom session. After lunch we will then rappel down on the anchors we set and spend the rest of the afternoon climbing student Wall on the gear you placed.
On Sunday we will break into small groups, usually two students and two teachers. We will go to some easy climbs and do some mock-leading.
