Timberline Trail Loop Backpack
About this event
On this trip we will circumnavigate Mt. Hood starting at Timberline Lodge and going in a clockwise direction. The total distance is 42 miles with a cumulative elevation change of approximately 10,000 feet. This trip is not a good beginner backpacking trip. Expect long steep grades and some stream crossings where you will have to wade. There are excellent YouTube videos, if you are interested, that will give you a better idea of what to expect. The Timberline Trail is rugged, but the views are phenomenal, and the wildflowers are spectacular.
