Copper Mountain/Iron Mountain Scramble in Mt. Rainier Natl. Park (Full, taking alternates)

About this event

Copper Mountain and Iron Mountain are two of over 100 climbable peaks in Mt. Rainier National Park. The close proximity allows this pair to be climbed in a single long day of 12+ miles and 4500+ feet of gain. The approach is from the southwestern part of the park (Nisqually entrance) through old growth forest and Indian Henry’s Hunting Ground with the park's oldest ranger cabin. Views from the top of course have Rainier right in your face, as well as Adams and the Tatoosh. Tim Hale has kindly offered his beautiful property for camping the evening before the climb, about 20 minutes outside the National Park.

Only two spots left open and will start an alternate list. Be prepared for a long day with scrambling and probably steep veggie belays.
