Duffy Lake and Santiam Lake - Aug 14, 2019
Weather report for "hot and hazy" didn't deter 8 of us from enjoying 2 lovely mountain lakes. The trail was a bit dusty, but the wildfire smoke was not noticeable. We dipped parts of our bodies into the headwaters of the Santiam River to cool our path out. Thanks to a Chemeketan story in the Silverton paper "Our Town" http://ourtownlive.com/ourtown/?p=8593, we had 3 new hikers: Karen Reed, Isobella Flores and Bonnie Dombrowsky.
