Clackamas River Trail-19 Sep 2018
Published on 9/22/2018
We had a very nice hike to dramatic Pup Creek Falls just off the Clackamas River Trail, on a gorgeous day. The trail -- which is a lot like the Little North Fork Trail -- is good but quite rocky. An old-time Chemeketan hike leader once told me that the primary job of the leader is to clear the cobwebs for the rest of the group; the primary job of the second person is to get bit by the snake, since it is too surprised to bite the leader. But our only snake of the day wasn't interested. Members Tom Meek, Gerda Norman and George Struble, leader.
