Curly-Q Hill Snowshoe - February 16
Published on 2/24/2019
With several inches of fresh powder, our 13-member group headed up Parish Lake Road on the way to Curly-Q Hill. We enjoyed the beauty of the rushing Santiam River and trees heavily flocked with snow. If not for the cloudy sky and snow showers, we would have had views of Mt. Jefferson and Three Fingered Jack along the way. As the wind kicked up on our return trip, we were occasionally blasted with snow blowing off the trees along our route. Despite the weather conditions, it was a great day to be out in the new snow! Enjoying the scenery and good company were Duane Cardwell, Karie Hutchings, Deanna Davis, Tom Davis, Christine Speak, Joyce Armstrong, Clifford Hartman, Mike Buren, Ted Burney, Lee Slattum, Becky Engeln, Lynnette Olesen and leader Jean Gabriel.
