Salem Urban Art Hike - April 24, 2019
Published on 5/23/2019
Six hearty hikers enjoyed a crisp blue sky as a backdrop for many pieces of Salem's public art. We first walked to Riverfront Park, continued to Convention Center sculpture garden, Mirror Pond, the newest piece "Good Cents" along Pringle Creek, Willamette University, Capitol grounds/mall, ODOT sculpture garden, DHS and Revenue buildings, gorgeous mosaics on Straub Environmental Center and YMCA buildings ending with wind-blown whimsical sculpture at transit station. We saw many beautiful, fun pieces of Salem's public art and enjoyed each other’s company. It was a good morning!
