Butteville to Champoeg - January 20, 2022

The morning rain stopped the moment we began to walk, and a little blue sky and sunshine appeared about lunch time. Four of our group had never been to Champoeg State Park, and their enthusiasm about history and the park added to the fun. The high-water marks from the 1861, 1964 and 1996 floods are always sobering. The Visitor Center was open after a long Covid-closure. Happy 10-mile walkers were members Mary Liepins, Lisa and Steve Ronay, Sue and Steve Engler, and leader Elizabeth Seibert.
