Our group of 6 hikers followed the mostly shady path along the Sandy River and around the peaceful campground. There were some beautiful views of the river and the tree covered hills on the other side. After pausing for a lunch break, we made our way back to our cars and enjoyed delicious chocolate chip cookies made by Marie. Our group of hikers were Chris O'Brien, Jay Orand, Kathleen Hynes, Katy Dockter, Marie Flores, and Sandra Martin, leader.
