We had a full crew for this climb up Mt Washington. The 12 of us got on the trail around 5am under clear skies and cool temperatures.
We started off at a brisk pace on the PCT located on the east side of Big Lake.
The north ridge was in good shape with some snow still hugging the gendarmes but wide enough to walk by with little effort.
We made decent time and reached the notch about four hours after leaving the trailhead.
Craig and I lead up the three pitches to the summit while Cathy supervised the climbers as they attached themselves with their prussic cord to ascend the fixed lines.
Obligatory pictures at the top and then the slow process of rappelling the route.
We had 9 first timers to the Washington summit and 7 of them had their first Chemeketan climb.
