Eight of us strolled along the river trail for a total of 7.5 miles, helped along by cool breezes coming off the river. We watched as the river went from calm & quiet to rip roaring rapids back to calm again. It was a beautiful day to celebrate my birthday although it did get a little warm on the way back. The eight sweaty hikers were Chris O'Brien, Deb Wallig, Elizabeth Seibert, Kathleen Hynes, Marie Flores, Monica Valencia, Nadene LeCheminant, and leader Sandra Martin.
