Beautiful views of Mt. Jefferson and ideal temperatures!
Our compact group of three hikers (Mark Ferguson, Marie Flores and leader Mady Kimmich) enjoyed the good trail and pleasant weather conditions as we climbed up to Grizzly Peak. After leaving Pamelia Lake, we encountered two large trees across the trail in the first long switchback. This section also had some narrow areas due to erosion. The rest of the trail was clear and well-graded, and we had it mostly all to ourselves, except for many and varied butterflies!
