On October 1 five happy Chemeketans enjoyed a glorious fall day hiking the Buck Mountain Loop trail. This trail is lush with ferns and has so many huge trees-what a treat! All Trails reports this trail is 8 miles long, but we all agreed it is over 9 miles... and we loved every mile! We were happy to hike this trail while we could-it's probably quite muddy later during the wet season. The happy hikers included Susan Proffitt, Lisa Reid, Delmy Edwards and Marie Flores with leader Debra Dawes.
