2 Chemeketans (Franca Hernandez and Mark Olson) and Paul Hamilton, a prospective new member Braved a damp fall day to trek from Hebo Lake to near the summit of Mt. Hebo. Damp brush, chilly wind and fog were our challenges. We enjoyed studying the newly emerging mushrooms. We were not able to view the coastline due to fog as one can on a clear day, but enjoyed the hike none the less. After the hike we drove to the old radar station site to learn more about its history of the site as a radar station serving as an early warning post during W II. All in all a good hike.
