Yachats Area Hiking - Nov. 1, 2022

Even though the weather reports forecasted rain, thunder, rain showers, and even more rain, there were four of us that decided to go to Yachats and hike the trails. Good thing the weather forecasts were mostly wrong. We did get caught in some rain, but only for about an hour total. The rest of the 3 days spent in the area was absolutely beautiful, even if it was cold.
Day 1: we walked up Salal Hill to get an over view of the Yaquina lighthouse. Then we drove down to Cape Perpetua and hiked the Saint Perpetua Trail. We got caught in the rain for the last 1/2 mile but hung out in the beautiful visitor's center until it cleared up then drove down the beach and looked out over Thor's Well and Devil's Churn.
The brave (and mostly dry) hikers were Sue and Steve Engler, Delmy Edwards, and leader Sandra Martin
