Eight brave souls braved the rain to join leader Georgienne Young. Well prepared Chemeketans Ken Ash, Zsa DuBois, Mary Coleman, Jane Maute, Trish Rossitto, Susan Hoskins and guest Katherine Parks, in rainwear and carrying umbrellas, walked a total of four miles through Dallas City Park, followed the paved walk along rain swollen Rickreall Creek through the neighborhoods of Dallas until, as if by magic, the New Morning Bakery appeared! After enjoying goodies and beverages the rain had stopped and there were signs of blue sky and sunshine as we continued back to our cars at the park.
This was an alternative to the cancelled Baskett Slough hike which the leader has rescheduled to May 27th.
