Despite recent rains, the seasonal loop was open on this partly sunny day for the 4 mile walk around the refuge. We spotted a couple of nearby deer and a few birds, though not as many as usual. We enjoyed the pleasant walk, however, and ended with lunch in the covered picnic area near the visitor center. Participants were all members: Margarita Nunez, Stephen Williams, Pam Wojcik, Marcia Hoak, Lesley Johnson, Mark Ferguson, Rosamund Irwin, and leader Becky Hickox.
