Silver Falls changed to Cascade Head
About this event
Silver Falls Canyon trail is closed because of ice so we'll go to Cascade Head. This trail is steep to start with and then levels out a bit but we'll definitely climb. The walk starts on a road, goes through forest and then opens to amazing views of the coastline. There will be some mud and it will not be warm, but it will be beautiful. Moderate pace. Pre-register with leader.
Difficulty: Medium
Driving distance: 120 miles RT.
Hiking distance: 4.2 miles RT.
Elevation gain: 750 feet to lower viewpoint 1200 to upper.
