Wild Iris Ridge

We started for Eugene in sub freezing fog but by the time we arrived at the trailhead we had bright sunshine. The trail is one of the newer additions to the Ridgeline system and while some of it is under power lines much of it feels pretty remote for an urban hike. We did the loop and summited Bailey Hill for about four miles and 700 feet elevation. It was an enjoyable hike and a nice post Thanksgiving work out. We stopped at Country Java in Coburg for their 'Best in the West' coffee shakes on the way back. Hikers were: Debra Dawes, Tom Burke, Zsa DuBois, Ken Ash, and John Huff ldr.
